An urban regeneration project, SeiMilano, in Milan, Italy, focuses on improving the quality of life of city residents.
Developed by Borio Mangiarotti, one of Milan’s leading construction companies, Planet has advised on the integration of 66 smart solutions.
Located in a previously neglected area, the development will become a unique and contemporary neighbourhood, built around an intelligent urban ecosystem. Collective efforts have returned a section of Milan to its citizens and created a future-proof smart district.
The new district provides inclusive opportunities, not only for residents but for the surrounding community as well. The comprehensive selection of smart solutions includes a fitness equipment area, a digital district handbook for residents, high-performing photovoltaic systems, and access to the digital platform through the user-friendly Planet App.
In 2023, we have already familiarised the future residents of SeiMilano with their homes, introducing them to their soon-to-be neighbours and accelerating the time it will take for them to acclimatise to their new surroundings. Accompanied by Planet Smart City’s experts, residents learned about smart solutions, the Planet App, and got a walking tour of the amenities that will soon be available to them.
We expect SeiMilano’s Central Park to become a valuable city resource, offering an outdoor space for recreation and relaxation. Mario Cucinella Architects have designed the park in conjunction with a leading landscaping studio, Michel Desvigne Paysagiste.
